Hello people,
I have been tasked with modelling hundreds of different varieties of sheds for a web-based product configurator, there is several different ranges and lots of size variations of each product range, the product configurator will allow the user to choose the shed range/style, the size/floorplan they require, the colour finish and also select from a variety of doors and windows styles and position these where they want on their design, which could result in thousands of different variants of sheds.
I need to create a simple way of creating these as 3D models so I thought that rail clone would be the best approach to undertake, to create a railclone style for each shed range so that it could be applied to a set spline for every footprint size and have the option to link a window and door into the railclone rig.
As I am a reasonably novice railclone user so I would appreciate any assistance you can offer with the setup of this project, if you could point me in the right direction to any relevant tutorials or advise me on workflow/setup that would assist me in this task, I would be very eternally grateful.
Thanks,
Phil.
