staggered flat tile roof with end caps

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a staggered flat tile roof with left and right end caps attached.

I can easily make a non staggered tile roof with left and right end caps (the end caps are attached to the tile models L and R) see image attached

But I'm not sure how to make a staggered tiled roof with end caps. The staggered roof uses full tile and a one and a half tile to make the stagger. But I'm not sure how to make the verge edges only use one and one and a half tiles with end caps attached.

I've attached shots and a maxfile. Hope this is clear. Bit tricky to explain

Hi,

In a very similar way, you can alternate between FLAT_TILE_VERGE_L and FLAT_TILE_1.5_VERGE_L by using the Sequence operator connected to the Start Input, along with the Mirror operator for the End Input. Please find attached a revised version of your scene (250402_Roof_tiles_ITOOSOFT.max). I hope this helps.

thanks for that. It's almost perfect. Only one thing, where the right hand verge tiles are mirrored, the interlock is incorrect. Image attached. I could adjust the geometry of the model so that there is no interlock and then they will just butt up together but it would be good if this could be fixed within Railclone so it has the correct interlock on the mirrored side. I see, I hadn't noticed that before. In this case, instead of using the Mirror operator, you can directly wire the corresponding segments (FLAT_TILE_VERGE_R & FLAT_TILE_1.5_VERGE_R) and adjust the padding as needed.
