Switching materials based on active renderer
« on: August 16, 2024, 08:39:24 PM »
Hello Itoo Team,

I'm looking to save a style to the RailClone library browser with functionality similar to Itoo's library objects. Specifically, I want to import an asset that automatically switches materials based on the active renderer (V-Ray or Corona). How can I achieve this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the interesting question. We have documentation for advanced library configuration that might be of use here: https://docs.itoosoft.com/forestpack/forest-library/integrating-third-party-libraries, and also a tutorial here: https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/creating-libraries

Both of these are for Forest Pack but the technique is the same for RailClone.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions as you start to explore creating your own libraries.

All the best,

Paul
