Tricky Random Paving
« on: September 30, 2016, 10:58:17 AM »
Hi Guys

Is this sort of thing possible with RailClone?
Any tips on how to make it? Including the edge paver.
This doesnt need to be exact, more or less is fine

Hi Morne,

I would say, that similar approach as shown in following "how make parametric gabion wall?" tightly related post should work for this scenario: "RailClone uses grid-like arrays so it's difficult to create a completely randomised and chaotic pattern. The usual solution is to create the illusion of randomised items by "pre-composing" them into segments of interlocking geometry."

Borders will be probably easier to treat within a separate Generator (a simple Linear 1S one in this case) / style. Hope that helps a bit and please feel free to post any "work in progress" images. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
