Hi Patric,
Thanks for contacting us. Please see the file in the link below for a possible solution, I've added a few notes to the graph to explain in more detail how it works.
Valser Stein stones RC version.zipThere are a couple of aspect of this that are challenging in RailClone. Ideally you don't want to slice the segments, so we should use Adaptive mode which scales segments to fill the available space. Unfortunately this doesn't work with segments of different lengths so segments have been combined using the compose operator into units that share and identical length. You can read more about this limitation
here.
Also, because you can see the reveals around windows we can't use booleans to cut out the apertures. Instead I propose creating a separate spline for each course of stones where a new window or door opening starts and ends on the Y Axis. In the image below for example there are 3 splines, one at base level, one at the course for the bottom of the window, and a third spline for the top of the window and door.
Finally, corners and the alternating brick pattern are created by using
Sequence operators set to increment on
Y. In that way you can create the alternating offsets at the corners and the stepped courses of stones.
I hope the attached file is of use, please let me know if you have any further questions.
Many thanks!
Paul
