Window Blinds Arrangement
« on: October 30, 2020, 01:14:37 PM »
Hey,

I´ve modeled an office building and would like to add exterior window blinds to the windows.
I have three possible stats: closed , half-way-open and open.

If the blinds are added randomly it looks kinda chaotic.
In reality most adjacent windows would have the same state.

Is it possible to add some kind of randomisation, but give - for example - at least 3 adjacent windows the same blinds state?

Thanks and best,

Hi.

First I would suggest using sequence operator and export the counters. Assign Random value to those:

to add more variation duplicate sequence and mix their order. Wire all of them to randomize node:

Hope this helps. Attached maxfile for Your reference.
