UV on Railclone
« on: August 07, 2024, 04:34:18 PM »
Dear Community,

I have been using RailClone for a while now, but I've always had issues with UV mapping. Usually, I set up the UVs on the segments before using them in the system, and most of the time, it works well. However, in some cases, when RailClone is in Adaptive, scale mode, it deforms the pieces.

I want to apply a smple flat or box UV map to the individual pieces because sometimes the system has a three-dimensional structure and the UVs need to be applied piece by piece. I’ve searched for information and looked through the tutorials but haven’t found any relevant guidance. I tried UVW XForm but doesn't show me any result.

Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

For this purpose, you may find the Deform > Mapping > Apply Box Mapping feature useful. It allows you to 'remap' UVWs based on the values used, and using the size of the segment should do the job.

I hope this helps!

Best regards,

I've tried adjusting the parameter inside railcone activating the checkbox and changing the values from 1 to 1000 but in my screen I can't see any differences; it seems like it's not working. I've checked everything, and there are no UV override nodes.
Also I have many segments, very tedious to modify one by one, is not a way to apply a uv override on all but applied individually?
