Forest object not falling on mesh

I am trying to populate a mesh the same way that I always do and they forest object is landing hundreds of feet away from my mesh. Any thoughts. This is a huge file. Not sure if that is the issue? Thanks

Did you check the pivot point of the object you are trying to place?

Hi,

If the pivot point of Custom Object you are scattering is placed correctly, please try to apply XForm utility on the surface (check screenshot attached). Sometimes imported surfaces with incorrect Transform information can cause issues.
