Load more than one forest from library
« on: June 28, 2024, 12:57:11 PM »
Hello:

Is it possible to load more than 1 Forest at a time in a single element of the Library?
I have a Forest whose parameters are dependent on another Forest (Surfaces Get From Forest) and I would like it to load both when I insert it from the library.

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm afraid, that as mentioned in this tightly related post - at the moment, the Library Manager does not support handling multiple Forest objects. These objects need to be handled separately, as individual Forest objects. This is similar to the case of our Layered Lawns presets. The same applies to importing - although it is possible to import several items from the library simultaneously, these layered presets need to be added to the scene one by one. This is because a new Forest object is required for each of these presets. We'll see what can be done in future versions.

Best regards,

if i were looking at the library for meadows, how would i go about loading individual pieces from two or three different presets? then create a new object and add those 3-6 pieces?  for example, if i load one preset meadow, then delete it, the objects that go with it are also deleted as opposed to being left in the scene (which is a good thing!) but wondering if there was a different appraoch.
