RC Lights - 3dsmax crash
« on: March 24, 2022, 07:38:24 AM »
Hi,
If i use lights as segments I have 3dsMax 2022 crash. Works fine if I proxy cache. Noticable on large scenes.

Sorry to hear you're facing this issue. It's hard to diagnose the issue from you description. Could you please send us the minidump, and if you have a file that easily reproduces the issue, a sample scene will be very helpful as well.

Many thanks,
Paul

I send minidump file via e-mail. Sorry for such useless report before.

To complicate everything i plug light instances as Segments and wire parameter ( intensity ) between them:)

Is it any way to get acces to some parameters of light direct from RC level ( not editing every base segment ) e.g intensity ?

Hi,

There's not a way to expose parameters of source objects in the RailClone graph I am afraid. One option though might be to add a Numeric node that'll then show up in the Parameters panel and then wire it to the intensity. Sometimes in order to see the Numeric parameters in the wiring dialogue, you need to add an animation keyframe to the property first.

Cheers,

Paul
