Forest Lite / Re: Objects in the Forest Pack Have Motion Blur Problems
« Last post by Michal Karmazín on February 24, 2025, 10:54:34 AM »
Hi,

Please double-check that you have the Animation - Follow Animation mode enabled in the Forest object. Let me mention that there were several tweaks for the motion blur & the related velocity pass done since the FP7, and we generally recommend using the latest version released - currently the Forest Pack 9.1.9. Please feel free to check Release Notes, where you can find all new features, improvements, and bugs fixed.

Best regards,

Hi,

In that specific case, the issue was due to a version mismatch. The problematic node was running an older version of the plug-in.

Forest Lite / Objects in the Forest Pack Have Motion Blur Problems
« Last post by wrenloren on February 24, 2025, 09:52:58 AM »
Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble with Forest Pack items blurring when they move. That's how I used to work: I would group the whole landscape, with all of its planes, objects, and Forest Pack parts, and then move it 10 meters from left to right across the camera frame over 12 frames, which is half a second. It used to work perfectly with this method. I upgraded to FP version 7.3.1, though, and now I don't see any motion blur on Forest Pack items.

I've tried a few workarounds, like moving the items one by one, but the problem still persists. I even put some boxes in the center that moved while the FP trees behind them stayed still, even though they were given the same time and movement parameters.

Are there any bugs here that I'm not seeing?

I even removed all of the Forest Pack components from my computer and loaded an older version (7.0.8) again, but 3ds Max still shows that version 7.3.1 is installed.

Any help or ideas would be greatly welcomed!

Hi,

I'm afraid that, at present, only one surface can be used.

Btw for dimmensionsion i used ceil Operator because i get vaiues from Marker Data.

Many thanks for help!

You can use Macro for this too, just add my MasterOverrideMarker to Input and set which MarkerData you are using (0-8).

You need to connect the arithmetic operator to the index parameter:
Arithmetic expression:

return
Segment X counter;

Ah, yeah... I forgot there is a password on the RC Annotation object. Sorry  ;)

@ everyone pass: topgun

The main staff is the Macro, which generates a number mesh on the output. You can input any number mesh using numeric input, box input is just for the decimal separator.
I have exposed some parameters too...
important note: if you are about reusing some of my macros the main generator must be named "Master"

Please let me know if you need some more info or additions to preset.

It should work with ValueList.
I don't have access to 3dsmax at the moment to try this:

1. Add ValueList and create your array
2. Export Index parameter for the Value List. Use SegmentXCounter for this index.
3. Use this as Input1 in your expression

Miss this reply, yea this shoud work

Many thanks
