RailClone Pro (*) / Help with cladding`
« Last post by LC3D on Today at 04:24:13 AM »Hey all,
I'm having issues with using railclone for cladding...
Firstly, I'd like the boards to align on the z axis... currently, they seem to start from a different position such that the boards that are perpendicular aren't aligning... see image attached.
Also, I'd love to be able to mitre the corners if possible...?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

RailClone Pro Beta / Macro_Input For Value List
« Last post by Dragan on March 25, 2025, 08:35:15 PM »During Beta testing, I found an interesting use of Value List as possible Macro Input. I'm not sure if that could be managed. As it is now, only Numeric input is recognized as Parameter Input.

Forest Pro (*) / Light String
« Last post by lingrenddd on March 25, 2025, 06:48:46 PM »Light string, how can I make the lights and the ends of the wires have some distance? The lights should not be generated at both ends. Attached is the max file. Thank you!

You can add a second level of evenly spaced segments between the generator's built-in Evenly segments using the bundled Macros > Transforms > Sub-Evenly macro. Please find attached a sample scene demonstrating the recommended setup. Regarding mapping, you might find it useful to apply it directly within the RailClone plug-in by enabling the Deform > Mapping > Apply Box Mapping feature. For more detailed instructions on how To Add Box Mapping to Segments, please refer to our online reference guide.
I hope that helps.
Best regards,

Eventually I used TCP tunnelling in RustDesk.
If anyone's interested in this solution I just used "localhost" as a host and port 16720 and it works.

I recommend checking our updated documentation on 'Accessing Network Licenses from Any Location'. I hope it helps you set it up.

I want to do the same thing.
What would be the procedure to achieve that?

RailClone Pro (*) / Help with wood railing - Several evenlies?
« Last post by Chulit on March 22, 2025, 05:42:32 PM »Hi, just asking for some pointer on how to approach this simple railing setup I am attaching.
As you can see, the longer posts (the ones that reach the floor) replaces one of the short evenly segments when some distance threshold is reached. And then, ideally, they should be justified (even if it doens't look like that in my image).
I am having a hard time figuring out some economic and smart setup that reach this goal.
I already made an array that geometrically meets this goal with some usual setup, but that leaves me with too much final segments and uv discontinuities.
I want to have the horizontal boards in an independent scaled segment, as I want to UV map them in one direction without uv seams, and then just one segment for each long and short posts.
I am sure there is some simple setup that I a overlooking, but I am stuck for now.
Thanls and best regards!
Edit: Sorry, I didn't mention that there are already some start and corner segments that I am not showing here, but that are used in the final implementation. This problem I am presenting is in the regular sections of the spline. Tx
