RailClone Lite / Re: Bonnet tile roof issue
« Last post by FilipeRocha on Today at 11:15:23 am »Thank you for the reply. The issue was a large fillet radius in the 1S generator, it just sends the corner tiles for a huge way around.

Forest Pro (*) / Re: FP cannot render objects with VRayLightMtl materials on renderfarm
« Last post by Michal Karmazín on Today at 10:59:13 am »Hi,
Thank you for reporting this. As you pointed out, when rendering via network rendering, V-Ray generates an error related to the Direct Illumination feature of the VRayLightMtl material. We'll investigate it. In the meantime, to prevent this error, please set Display > Render > Mode to Meshes.
Best regards,

Work in Progress / Re: RailClone. Help with tiling
« Last post by Michal Karmazín on Today at 09:37:13 am »Hi Alex,
It seems the image of the desired layout wasn’t attached, but using Sequence Operator(s) instead of the Randomize Operator should be the best approach. I hope that helps.

Forest Pro (*) / Re: Items dissappear in video rendering
« Last post by Michal Karmazín on Today at 08:18:24 am »Hi,
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these difficulties. First, I’d like to point out that the Camera – Distance Falloff feature should be avoided when rendering walk-through animations. As noted in our online reference guide, this feature can cause objects to suddenly appear or disappear due to changes in camera distance during motion.
I would recommend switching to Custom Edit mode, as the issue may be related to surface evaluation. Please use the Surface > Place Items button, and try disabling the Surface > Non-Image Modes > Link to Surface checkbox to see if that resolves the problem.
Thank you in advance for any additional feedback you can share - either with us or the user community - in case others encounter a similar issue.

Forest Pro (*) / FP cannot render objects with VRayLightMtl materials on renderfarm
« Last post by ZO6039 on June 30, 2025, 10:14:34 pm »I have a simple setup where ForestPack scatters spheres on terrain to simulate city lights in the distance. The spheres have VRayLightMtl materials applied to make them self-illuminated. When I render my scene locally then everything works fine, but when I try to render my scene on render farm then render crashes. By log file I assume the problem is VRayLightMtl material with Direct illumination. I made a work around by collapsing FP object to Mesh. I previously used Multiscatter plugin for such purpose and it worked fine. Could you look at this problem, please?

Work in Progress / RailClone. Help with tiling
« Last post by sv3dalex on June 30, 2025, 06:36:20 pm »Hello everyone!
I kindly ask you to help me solve my problem.
My task is to create a slate roof. I am using a standard template from the RailClone library (Roofing /Tiles/Slate 2).
But I do not understand how I can lay out the tiles as shown in the sample (from largest to smallest).

Could you help me and tell me what tool I can use to do this?
Thank you very much for your help.
Alex.

Forest Pro (*) / Items dissappear in video rendering
« Last post by Carlos Gamundi on June 30, 2025, 04:57:26 pm »Hi. I have forest Pro updated to the last version.
Work in a video for a big golf scene i noted some items in the forest dissappear when I render the frames. I upload a short part of the video and you can see the change in the shadows of the trees.
In the scene doesn't exist any animated terrain or element.
I can't upload the scene right now because is too big file and my internet isn't good.
Thanks.

« Last post by tzaar on June 30, 2025, 03:12:59 pm »Thank! That's exactly what I needed and it works. I suspected some math could cancel out the local rotation.
No plans on just baking this in and exposing it as a checkbox for the transform node?

RailClone Pro (*) / Re: VrayMultiSubTex - Instancing Engine
« Last post by Michal Karmazín on June 30, 2025, 09:14:05 am »Hi,
First, I’d like to point out that RailClone includes the RailClone Color map, which - especially when used in combination with the Material and UVW XForm operators - offers a wide range of options for randomizing textures and maps.
If you still prefer to use the VRayMultiSubTex map, note that for some modes, the RailClone object should be treated as a standard 3ds Max object. This can be done by disabling the Instancing Engine, which makes the necessary data accessible to that map. However, certain modes - such as Get ID from: Random > By instance ID - should work without needing to disable the Instancing Engine. That said, I wouldn’t consider this a bug - it’s more of a partially supported feature, due to the way RailClone handles geometry. For best results, we recommend using RailClone’s native tools. Thank you for your understanding.
